The Sirgen General is a St Lucian born DJ, who's first taste of the Caribbean DJ world was whilst living in Trinidad during his early teens in the 80's. Listening to the likes of Dr Hyde and Chinese Laundry and so many other Big Trini DJ Brands.
At the age of 14 The Sirgen had his first taste of turntables and never looked back! Whilst in Trinidad he was nicknamed "Signal to Noise" by friends and family after the famous Trini DJ group. The Sirgen returned to St Lucia at the age of 19 and that is when his DJ career really started, he then spent all spare time practising his skills on the turntables which he had picked up in Trinidad and started creating his own mix tapes.
His first big residency was at the famous Splash Nightclub in Rodney Bay in 1993, with a weekly residency as well as the famous Lime nightclub.
Then followed a string of high-profile nightclubs in St Lucia, as well as work abroad including a 6-month period in Sweden. He then went on to work with Heineken St Lucia, promoting various brewery brands by hosting music events and sourcing new music hot of the press (literally!)
After his time with Heineken the Sirgen went on to start his own promotion and music event company within St Lucia before moving to the UK where he is now based.
The Sirgen General is a well-rounded multi-genre DJ, but has a special place for back in time music, and is always pulling out those nostalgic hits that you haven't heard for ages taking you back and forth in time!
